Time

Time does not exist here. All events are simultaneous, but they also occur in reverse order, in proper order, in random order. I pull the trigger, and at the same time, the bullet hits the flesh. I pull the trigger, but the bullet has already struck. I pull the trigger, and after the bullet parts skin, the hammer will fall.

Everything happens at the same time. Nothing happens at the same time. In this place, both are true, and neither.

I know what is going to happen, because it has already happened. I know what happened yesterday, because it hasn't happened yet. I do not know what is going on right now, because it will never happen.

The path my life has taken would have been different if I hadn't met you. You are the cause of all that has happened since that time, which was five years ago, was yesterday, I am meeting you now for the first time, I won't meet you for another twenty years.

If I could change it, I would never meet you. I see our first encounter, I tell myself to walk the other way. But it is too late, always has been, always will be too late.

Because we met, I am here in this place outside of time. Because I am here, we met. As we meet, I will be here.

Cause and effect do not exist here, are reversed here, are normal here. Everything is true, and nothing.

You hurt me, and you left me, and now I am here. We met, then you left, now I'm here, soon I'll die. At the same time, we meet and you leave and I die. I died, then we will meet, and now you're leaving.

The bullet parts my skin, rends my flesh, shatters bone, scrambles my brain. In that order, in no order, in any order.

You left me, and now time does not exist.
