Bizarre Selfie Art

A few years ago, I came upon the idea of an art form called Bizarre Selfie Art. It simply means that I take a selfie in unusual poses, positions, situations, or settings, or that I alter my selfie digitally to create a new image.

The weirder, the better.

If you'd like to create some Bizarre Selfie Art of your own, feel free to share it with me! If you'd like, I can add it to an 'other artists' section at the bottom of this page. Just contact me through the 'Contact Me' form on the 'Contact Me' page (you get the idea).

Here's what I have created so far:

A selfie of the artist, his hair arranged around his head as though immune to gravity. The artist's face is contorted in a scream of rage.A selfie of the artist, his head tilted back and his eyes rolling to the back of his head in an expression of frustration and irritation.A selfie of the artist, his hair flowing towards the camera, and his face, which is glowing slightly blue, has an expression of excitement and joy.
'Primal.''Tested.''Excitedly Eerie.'

A selfie of the artist, the right half of his face covered by a piece of cardboard on which has been drawn a crude face which aligns with the artist's face to represent the half of his face that he cannot see. The drawn face is simply a line around the outline of the face, another line for the mouth curved upward in a smile (which is contrasted by the artist's actual face, which is expressionless), half of a green star for the nose, and a dot for the eye with a rainbow over the dot in place of the eyebrow. A selfie of the artist, his hair standing straight out to the side. A selfie of the artist, in front of a bookshelf, peering at the camera over the top of a book which is held open before him as if he were reading it.
'Happy.''Sideways.''New Worlds.'

A selfie of the artist, smiling with joy, as a number of dice of various types and sizes are floating in the air in front of him.A selfie of the artist, his eyes hidden behind a white bar on which eyes have been drawn so that they line up with where his actual eyes are.A selfie of the artist, in both photograph form and pencil sketch form. The two selfies have been interlaced with one another so that each one forms bars that are placed between each other to make a complete image, alternating photograph-sketch-photograph-sketch et cetera.
'Joy.''Eyes.''Blinds Sketch.'

A selfie of the artist, an expression of sadness on his face, standing in front of a sign which reads 'Exit,' with a large coin embossed with a heraldic cat hanging in front of his left eye.A selfie of the artist, wearing a Yorkshire Flat Cap, peering at the camera over the top of a GM Screen for the game Changeling: the Dreaming. The background is a swirl of colours emanating from a point just behind the artist's head.A selfie of the artist, in front of a shelf full of board games, wearing a shirt with the logo for Changeling: the Dreaming, holding up a replica tricorder from the original Star Trek and an identity disc from Tron: Legacy.
'Grief.''Dreams.''Geek.'

A selfie of the artist, holding an apple in front of his left eye.A selfie of the artist, standing in shadow with a bright outdoor landscape behind him, so that he is hard to make out. Lens flares blur the image.A selfie of the artist, holding up a card that says 'Harbour Master!' with an illustration of a tentacle holding a key above the surface of the ocean. Superimposed over this photo is a line drawing of the artist, drawn in purples and pinks, which is at an angle to the photo.
'The Fruit of Knowledge.''Welcoming Aura.''Gaze.'

A selfie of the artist, looking at something to the side of the camera, with colourful dots forming a sunburst around his right eye. The dots closest to his eye are red, with the dots in each successive ring being the next colour in the spectrum, so that the dots furthest from his eye are purple.A selfie of the artist, peering at the camera over the top of a globe, with a yellow sun on a blue background made from butcher paper on the wall behind him.A selfie of the artist, in front of a shelf full of board games. He is wearing a necklace made of dice, a circlet with a diadem that is a ten-sided die, an earring that is also a ten-sided die, and a spinner ring that is painted to work as a ten-sided die. He is holding up a large twelve-sided die.
'X-tra.''Dawn.''High Priest.'

A selfie of the artist against a metallic background. The top half of his head is covered by a tablet, and on the tablet's display is a giant blue iris and black pupil.A selfie of the artist taken in a restaurant. He is dressed fairly professionally, and he is holding up a stand used to display order numbers in some restaurants. The ring on top of the stand is held before the artist's left eye, as if it were a monocle.A selfie of the artist, wearing a shirt with the eyes and toothy grin of the Cheshire Cat from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, with the phrase 'We're all M.A.D. here.' There is a dowel rode shoved through the author's hair, which has a couple of locks of hair tied to it so that his hair is incredibly dishevelled. There is also a nail file propped up in front of his right eye by the frame of his glasses.
'Friend.''Refined.''Embattled.'

A selfie of the artist, his hair standing straight up on top of his head.An oil painting portrait of the artist, with lines of many different colours snaking out from behind his head. Superimposed on this painting is a hand holding up a phone as if taking a selfie.A selfie of the artist, his elbows held out to his side. The right half of the artist's body had been replaced with the right half of a giant red wooden meeple.
'Troll.''Oil Selfie.''Meeple.'

A selfie of the artist, completely drenched, with strands of his hair hanging down in front of his face. A selfie of the artist, with a somewhat gloomy expression. Over the course of a few seconds, there appears and then fades away again a line drawing of the artist, made up of various coloured lines. This line drawing shows the artist with an expression of complete joy. A selfie of the artist, with each eye covered by a pencil sketch of an animal's eye. The right eye is covered with a sketch of a cuttlefish's eye, and the left eye with a cat's eye.
'Drowned.''Masks.''Beast Eyes.'

A selfie of the artist, with a blue pyramid affixed over the artist's nose.A selfie of the artist, completely wet as though having just taken a shower, wearing his glasses which are also wet, with a large smile.A selfie of the artist, his eyes covered by large paper googly eyes, giving the artist an expression of extreme shock and amazement.
'Pyramid Face.''Clean.''Startled.'

A selfie of the artist, wearing a face mask of the style worn during the Covid 19 pandemic, but the face mask has been replaced as if with green screen by another, smaller selfie of the artist (in this one, he is not wearing a mask).A selfie of the artist, sitting on a sofa reading a copy of the book We by Yevgeny Zamyatin.A selfie of the artist rendered in 8-bit graphics.
'Inception Mask.''Unsolicited Lit Pic.''Me.G.A.'

A selfie of the artist, who is holding two cardboard rectangles in front of his eyes. Each rectangle has a hole in one end, with a blue stripe and two yellow stripes running from the hole towards the other end of the cardboard. The artist's eyes can be seen through the holes, and the stripes are arranged so that they appear to be emanating out to the sides from the eyes. The artist, with a half-moon mask obscuring half of his face, standing in front of the sun, which is shining through the hair at the side of his face, with lens flares.
'Racing Stripes.''Helios.''Bizarre Selkie Art.'

The artist holding a poster in front of him. The poster displays the body of a mermaid, painted in a rather interpretive style, with shiny metallic green paint for the tail and a toddler's torso for the body. The poster is held so that the artist's head appears to be the head of the mermaid whose body is represented in the poster. The artist, his hair pulled back into a ponytail, with that ponytail pulled over the top of his head and held in place against his nose by his glasses, so that a very unkempt mass of hair sits atop his head, with the ends running down between his eyes and over his nose to stick out in front of his mouth.
'Mer.''Combover.'
